I did it.

I did it. I survived my first day back to work, away from Riley ... and I even returned to work today. I have to point that out because I honestly think it was surprising to some to see me walk to my desk again this morning. I've heard of so many working moms who return from maternity leave only to have a very difficult first day and by the second day, they've resigned. But I can do this. Sure, it is - hands down - the most difficult thing I have ever had to do, but I did make it through and I have to even admit that during my 8 hours in the office yesterday, I even enjoyed myself. It's amazing, though, how I can be busy all day but still keep her on my mind every single minute of it all.

I am pumping every three hours and that really helps to break up the day. I pump at 9am, Noon, and 3pm. And yesterday I was able to replenish all but 1oz of what I thawed out for the day, so that made me feel very good as well.

My parents arrived last night and will watch Riley today and tomorrow. Although I would rather be the one with her around the clock, it is nice to know that the second-best people - her grandparents - have her when Kevin and I cannot.

That little booger will be 3-months old tomorrow ... unreal.
